Client: ERM

Location: Montrose

Remediation Value: £870,000

Project: In-situ Steam enhanced Dual Phase Vacuum Extraction (DPVE) with air sparging of gross petroleum hydrocarbon and chlorinated solvent contamination. A complex mix of contaminants including high concentrations of dichloromethane, toluene and chloroform within a difficult geology (interbedded sands, gravels & clay lenses). Phase separated product was identified within the subsurface at depths of 18m, across an area of 2,500m². With less than a 10m proximity to a watercourse down-gradient of site, significant reductions in dissolved phase contamination were required.
