Case Study O1: Membrane Interface Probe Investigation (Gloucester) - Chlorinated Solvents

Mip_pic

Client: Croudace Properties Ltd

 Location: Gloucester

 Remediation Value: £30,000

Project: Churngold Remedation Ltd recently utilised the latest site investigation technology to prove that a contaminant source was located off-site absolving our client of any clean up liability. Membrane Interface Probe (MIP) and sonic drilling (solid stem auger) techniques were employed to determine geology and contaminant levels. The MIP provided a semi-quantitative appraisal of volatile contaminants across a continuous depth profile. No subsurface source of chlorinated solvent contamination was detected.
