Project: A low permeability silt layer, heavily impacted with Xylene was found sandwiched between two permeable strata. In-situ clean-up of the silt utilising conventional vacuum technology would likely fail. Churngold’s solution comprised the injection of high pressure steam below the silt layer to mobilise the volatile contamination within the silt layer.
