Children that have been excluded from school have been taking part in a series of challenges to support their return into mainstream education, organised by the charity Urban Pursuits in association with Clevedon Pilot Gig Clug.  One of these challenges has been learning to row in the gig owned by Clevedon Pilot Gig Club, who recently received a grant from the Churngold Environment Fund to purchase a plastic training gig.  Members of the Gig Club help cox and train the youngsters who quickly realised that team work and taking responsibility is vital to any successful outcome.  Churngold has a track record of supporting similar initiatives in the local community over the last 30 years.
