Churngold Construction Ltd has recently won both the Health & Safety Award, and SME of the Year at the Constructing Excellence South West 2017 South West Built Environment Awards.

The Health & Safety Award was as a result of the introduction of their Safe Dig and Hazard Spot initiatives, which have resulted in no Reportable Accidents for 3 years and a really low number of minor injuries and service strikes, whilst the award for SME of the Year was as a result of a number of initiatives, including 3D modelling projects to allow significant VE opportunities to be identified for their clients at tender stage, the development of a Groundworker Apprenticeship Scheme in conjunction with the CITB, Weston College and JP Training, as well as working closely with their own supply chain to reduce contractual administration to a minimum  and ensuring prompt payment for all their Approved Subcontractors and Suppliers.

Andrew Brown, MD of Churngold Construction said "I would very much like to thank everyone in the business for all their hard work, not just in developing these intiatives, but making sure they continue to be our everyday behaviours, because not only are they clearly Best Practice, they are appreciated by our clients and are what differentiate us from our competitors, win us work and make sure we all go home safely every day".

Churngold Construction are one of the country's leading Groundworks companies with offices in Bristol, Newport in South Wales and have recently opened an office near Crewe.  The Company turns over in excess of £30M and employs 200 people and works in the South West, South Wales and Midlands for a wide range of clients.
