Fitzalan School - Main Works

Churngold have been awarded the main works for the Fitzalan School project comprising of earthworks, groundworks, civil engineering and externals by Kier Construction.

The £63.5 million-pound new school to be built across the road from Cardiff City stadium and next to Leckwith stadium.

Works will include:

  • Erection of a 3-storey high school to accommodate 1850 pupils,
  • New community swimming pool.
  • Provision of 2 MUGAs.
  • Provision of 1 3G rugby / football pitch.
  • Provision of 1 under 16 hockey / football pitch.
  • A staff car park (47 spaces) and visitor car park (24 spaces including 8 disabled bays).
  • Associated hard and soft play areas.

The 1st Minister, Mark Drakeford, will be coming to site on the 19th March for the ground cutting ceremony.
