Creating an additional 494 prison places and 15 new associated ancillary buildings. The additional prisoners will be housed within two new T60 blocks.
The site is complex featuring a large existing prison, live services, excavating rock, working with prison staff, testing and disposal of contaminated ground, all in line with our environmental and sustainability obligations.
The project was fast-tracked by MoJ and Kier, meaning proactive design development and management was vital and a key client requirement. Churngold excel in assisting their clients with this challenge.
