The project involved the construction of a new substation to alleviate the load being drawn from the existing. Over 2kms of 11kv cabling was also installed, the trenching for this when around the perimeter of the live hospital.
The new substation will ensure there are fewer power cuts for the vital services the hospital provide along with contributing to net zero with the more efficient equipment.
