The new unit is situated to the South of the hospital and is an extension of the existing unit. It provides a 20% uplift in capacity of the existing radiotherapy service currently provided.
The new facility incorporates a large bunker for 2 new linac machines. Radiotherapy planning, On-treatment reviewing, On-treatment education as well as CT simulator. The new facility will deliver a much more efficient and targeted treatment to the South-West Wales area.
