April 2026 Recognition – Skanska & Churngold

For April 2026, Skanska and Churngold are pleased to formally recognise several individuals for their outstanding contributions to the project. Each person listed below is also being matched with a well-deserved reward in recognition of their performance, commitment, and continued high standards on site.

These awards reflect excellence in safety, quality assurance, coordination, and proactive site delivery, all of which are essential to the successful progress of the works.


Alan Clarke (Logical)

Alan Clarke is recognised for his excellent work around live services and his proactive identification of previously unknown services using the Vac-Ex.

Alan has demonstrated a highly responsible and safety-conscious approach when carrying out excavation and service detection works. His ability to identify and manage unknown services has been crucial in preventing potential risks and ensuring works are carried out safely and efficiently. His diligence and attention to detail have made a significant contribution to maintaining safe working conditions on site.

Bob Harmer (Churngold)

Bob Harmer is recognised for his excellent QA records and supervision during concrete testing on external PQC pours.

Bob has consistently ensured that all quality assurance documentation is completed to a high standard, supporting accurate and reliable records throughout the PQC pouring process. His supervision during concrete testing has helped maintain strict quality control and compliance with specification requirements, contributing directly to the overall integrity and success of the works.

Steven Straker (RAFT)

Steven Straker is recognised for his coordination of lifting operations and strong safety-focused attitude while working on the Vehicle Brake Test Ramps.

Steven has demonstrated excellent planning and coordination skills when managing lifting activities, ensuring that operations are carried out safely and efficiently. His proactive safety mindset and clear communication have helped maintain a well-controlled working environment, particularly in a complex and high-risk area of the project.
