May 2026 Recognition – Skanska & Churngold

For May 2026, Skanska and Churngold are pleased to formally recognise a number of individuals for their outstanding contributions to the project. Each person listed below is also being matched with a well-deserved reward in recognition of their performance, commitment, and continued high standards on site.

These awards reflect excellence in quality, supervision, and safety, all of which are critical to the successful delivery of the works.


Matt Southall (Fortel)

Matt Southall is recognised for his excellent work ethic and high-quality delivery in preparing the external PQC slab for inspection.

Matt has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to achieving a high standard of finish, ensuring that all works were completed with care, accuracy, and attention to detail. His proactive approach and dedication to quality ensured the slab was fully prepared and ready for inspection to the required standard, contributing positively to overall programme progress.

Taylor Williams (PJW)

Tayloe Williams is recognised for his excellent supervision while working around live services.

Tayloe has shown strong leadership and a responsible approach to managing works in a high-risk environment. His ability to maintain control of site activities, ensure compliance with safety requirements, and promote safe working practices around live services has been instrumental in maintaining a safe and well-managed site.

Gary Johnsey

Gary Johnsey is recognised for going the extra mile in delivering edge protection, access and egress arrangements, and maintaining safety standards while working on scaffolding at the Vehicle Brake Test Ramps.

Gary has demonstrated a strong safety-first mindset and a practical, solution-focused approach on site. His efforts to improve edge protection and ensure safe access routes have significantly contributed to safer working conditions for all personnel involved in the works. His commitment to going beyond expectations is greatly appreciated.


Recognition Statement

All three individuals have demonstrated behaviours that reflect the core values of Skanska and Churngold, particularly in relation to safety, quality, and professionalism. Their contributions have made a tangible difference to the project and are sincerely appreciated.
