Investing in the Future - New Trainees - Wales

Churngold have taken on 9 new Trainees/Apprentices in 2025, 3 of which are from Wales.

Alfie Teague, Trainee Engineer, Callum Finch- Coles, Trainee Groundworker & Ashton Hurlin, Trainee QS.

Alfie has been assisting site engineer setting out foundations, bolts, pre pour checks. He has been gaining an understanding of how to use engineering equipment, and navigating his way around Share Point and Asite to access QA files and drawings.

Callum has been learning how to control the level of dig using a laser and receiver, pile cropping, blinding to excavations, use of a disc cutter, use of a breaker, protection of excavations.

 Ashton is based at our Pontyclun office and is mentored by David Campbell, Senior QS, and getting to grips with the systems and site visits.

They are all doing well and seems to be grasping what is expected of them. It is early days but they have the enthusiasm to address whatever is given to them.
