2164 Service Crossings without a single strike and Counting

Over the last 2 years Churngold’s team at the Curo housing site in Henacre near Avonmouth have needed to cross 2164 services whilst making drainage connections and installing other services and have managed to not hit or damaged a single one whilst carrying out these installations.

Managing Director Andrew Brown recently visited site to congratulate the Site Manager, Foremen and all the guys on this fantastic achievement. Churngold Foreman Jo Ross said “ it really is a team effort. Ensuring we check the location of all the services properly and then working in line with our Safe Dig procedures is the key. “.  

Andrew Brown said “ when I recently saw this stat, I just had to visit site and shake the guys hands and say well done. Whilst it is a team effort, Jo has certainly made this personal to ensure no services are damaged and that everyone goes home unharmed every day, which is just fantastic. “
